Press Release – OCofOC March 29, 2020 and May 16th, 2020 Concerts Canceled
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our March 29 performance and the May 16th performances at the Curtis Theatre, have been canceled EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY due to COVID-19. Please know that we are committed to presenting this fantastic program, most likely in the 2020–2021 season.
The Curtis has notified ticket holders directly, and given them the option of donating the purchase cost of their tickets directly to the musicians of OCofOC, many of whom are full-time professional musicians whose livelihoods, like those of so many others, have been grievously impacted by current events. They may also, of course, request full refunds of their purchase.
At this time, our Beethoven concert at Casa Romantica in May is scheduled to proceed as planned, with no restrictions and no changes to ticket sales. However, the public health response to this challenging situation is changing rapidly. As this continues, further changes to our performance schedule may become unavoidable. We promise to keep you informed of any and all changes to our operations via direct email, social media, and our website – we will make sure to alert you to any additional potential postponements and delays.
During this difficult time, we want you to know that your support means a great deal to us — thank you for being part of the OCofOC family.
